When bodybuilders were called “bodybuilders” and models were called “models,” Mike O’Hearn forced the health and fitness industry to pioneer the name and coin the phrase “Fitness Model,” by gracing the covers of over 470 magazines worldwide, being featured in countless fitness editorials and articles, and earning the title of 7-time Fitness Male Model of the Year, putting that title in retirement. Mike has a championship resume a mile long with such titles as 4-time Mr. Universe, 4-time Power Lifting Champion, 2-time Iron Warrior: Decathlon of Strength Strongman Champion, and California Judo Champion to name a few. And, if you ever wanted to meet a real-life super hero, Mike is the closest human alive that would fit that description.
Other than being a mixed martial artist and a well rounded athlete with a championship background in Natural Bodybuilding, Strongman, Power Lifting, and Martial Arts, Mike has help a great number of people in achieving their health and fitness goals giving them lifestyle changing results.
Having authored, “Proven Techniques for Drug Free Bodybuilders” and franchised his own chain of gyms, Mike has teamed up with fitness/figure champion and fitness professional, Sherlyn Roy, to create S.H.I.F.T.I.N.G.—Serious High Intensity Fitness Training Integrating Nutritional Guidelines to do just that for their high profile clientele of Hollywood executives and heavy hitters. Currently, Mike and Sherlyn are working along side their team of experts to create a brand name as a “go to” logo for any and all means of health and nutrition needs for all demographics throughout to educate men, women, and children on living a healthier lifestyle.
Mike became the Topaz romance books cover model and was featured on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Inside Edition, Hard Copy, Montel Williams Show and the Sally Jesse Raphael Show, just to name a few. Having the ability to sculpt his body, as well as, being able to assist others in doing the same, Mike is very artistic in nature. Having had his own television series and the leading role in a few feature films, he is currently in the process of writing, producing, and starring in his own movie, as he paves his way into the entertainment industry. Mike wants to be able to redefine the Hollywood stereotype of someone with his stature. With all his achievements and all he’s accomplished so far, he will be able to do so with bone-crushing intensity and you will be able to see Mike as the team captain of the gladiators leading his warriors into battle on the American Gladiator Show on this upcoming season on NBC.
Mike grew up on a farm in Kirkland, Washington. He comes from a huge family of nine kids and is the youngest of five boys, so standing out in a crowd is nothing new to him. Having several titles in wrestling and power lifting, he entered his first bodybuilding competition at the age of 15, where he won the Teenage Washington State championships. Being the best at whatever he put his mind to, he was also an All-American football player.
